Savings & Loans is committed to making a difference in the community and supporting programs that help people better their own situation through education and financial inclusion.
Community partnerships
We work with a range of groups and non-for-profit organisations that are active in the community and have the specialised skills necessary to make a real difference.
We also encourage our staff to get involved with our community partners, either through volunteering their time to specific programs, or lending their specialised skills.

Employee involvement
Our support goes beyond donating money. All of our staff receive two extra days of paid leave every year to volunteer with any of our community partners.
Staff in every region also work with a local community group or charity in their local area to support specific initiatives.
For example, our Elizabeth branch has developed a program to help support road safety initiatives in their local area. In partnership with local police and community groups, our staff fund a program that buys helmets for children found riding their bikes without safety equipment. Many of these children come from families who can’t afford helmets and this program helps children get the equipment they need and develops relationships between children and the local police.
All of the money raised by our staff is matched by Savings & Loans to spread the benefits further.
